This museum preserves the historical file of the city with all the records, ordinances and major orders that were signed in the colonial time. This collection has been formed through the years with purchases of private collections or donations that have been made, starting at 1947. Inside this collection 69 books of colonial town councils stand out, with records that date from the time of the foundation of the city. More than 18.000 archaeological pieces and nearly 700 pieces of colonial art such as crucifix of Christ carved in wood, works of paintings that date from the Seventh Century to the Nineteenth Century. It is located on Calle Larga 7-25 and Borrero Street. It is open from Monday to Saturday, from 9h00 to 17h00.
